The Secret Sojourn is JZ’s 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath home in a quiet O’Fallon neighborhood, with room for up to 8 guests. A King, a Queen, a twin with a twin trundle and a sleeper sofa cover the beds, and the kitchen has a dining table that seats all 8. The basement doubles as a game room with arcade games, shuffleboard and foosball, which gives the house two separate living areas: one upstairs for the adults and one downstairs for the younger crowd.
Outside, a fenced backyard with a patio welcomes up to two dogs for a $75 pet fee. Free driveway parking, an in-unit washer and dryer, a dedicated workspace and Wi-Fi rated at 250+ Mbps make longer stays easy, and a 3D virtual tour on the property page lets you walk the layout before you book. For events, parks and trip ideas around the county, see the O’Fallon guide on Discover St. Charles, the visitor site of the Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau.
O’Fallon is part of Greater St. Louis, set along Interstates 64 and 70 between St. Peters and Lake St. Louis. The 2020 census counted 91,316 residents. The town dates to 1856, when Nicholas Krekel settled here, and was named for John O’Fallon, president of the North Missouri Railroad. It incorporated in 1912, and the railroad line that started the city is still in operation.
Fort Zumwalt Park is the city’s most historic park: 48 acres around 3.5-acre Lake Whetsel, with the rebuilt War of 1812 fort site, Zumwalt’s Fort, and the restored Heald Home from about 1884, both overlooking the lake. The park also has picnic areas, a playground, “The Fort” disc golf course, walking trails and an operating model railroad display.
Each holiday season the same park hosts Celebration of Lights, a nightly drive-through display from late November through December, plus three pedestrian-only Old-Fashioned Holiday Stroll nights with fireworks over Lake Whetsel and a visit from Santa. The city’s Office of Tourism and Festivals runs the Jammin’ Summer Concert Series and Heritage & Freedom Fest around the Fourth of July, and O’Fallon Parks and Recreation runs Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center. CarShield Field hosts O’Fallon Hoots baseball games, the Renaud Spirit Center is the city’s indoor recreation facility, the O’Fallon Historical Society Log Cabin Museum is open by appointment, and the Veterans Memorial Walk pays tribute to the armed forces.
