Scottsdale is the Sonoran Desert’s resort town: 330 days of sun, more than 200 golf courses within reach, and a downtown that runs from the galleries and saloons of Old Town to the rooftop bars of the Entertainment District. Our Scottsdale vacation rentals are built around the private backyard pool, the thing a hotel cannot give a group of eight, and they spread across the whole territory, from walk-to-Old-Town condos to gated North Scottsdale estates near Troon North and Pinnacle Peak, plus family homes in Tempe, Mesa, Glendale, and Cave Creek for spring-training trips and Cactus League weekends.
Expect heated pools and spas, putting greens, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, and game rooms in the larger homes, with room counts that reach 17 guests. Book direct with JZ Vacation Rentals and you deal with a real team, not a call center.
Scottsdale packs the Valley’s biggest events into its winter and spring. The WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale fills the first week of February, Barrett-Jackson takes over WestWorld in January, and Cactus League spring training runs late February through March at Scottsdale Stadium and Salt River Fields, with Tempe, Mesa, and Glendale ballparks a short drive away. Outside the events, the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Camelback Mountain, and Pinnacle Peak give you sunrise hikes, and the Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarter, and Fashion Square shopping districts fill the afternoons. For events, seasonal guides and area maps, see the official Experience Scottsdale visitor site.

A vacation rental pays for itself here. Peak-season resort rates in Scottsdale run high, and a five- or six-bedroom pool home splits to less per person while giving a golf group or a family reunion its own kitchen, its own pool, and parking for every car. Sky Harbor is 20 to 30 minutes from most homes.
Old Town and South Scottsdale put you within walking or a short ride of the bars, galleries, and Scottsdale Stadium. Central Scottsdale, around Kierland and Gainey Ranch, is the golf-and-resort corridor. North Scottsdale, from Troon North to Rio Verde, is where the large, secluded estates sit with mountain views and desert quiet. Tempe and Mesa homes sit closest to Arizona State, Tempe Town Lake, and the Cubs and Athletics ballparks; Glendale covers State Farm Stadium and the Cardinals and Coyotes; Cave Creek and Carefree trade nightlife for horse country and saloons at the edge of the Tonto National Forest.
January through April is peak season, with dry 70-degree days, the Phoenix Open, Barrett-Jackson, and spring training. October through December is warm and quieter with lower rates. Summer runs well past 100 degrees; pool homes drop their prices sharply and the desert is empty if you can take the heat.
Sky Harbor International Airport is about 20 minutes from Old Town and Tempe homes, 30 to 40 minutes from North Scottsdale and Cave Creek, and 25 to 35 minutes from Mesa and Glendale, depending on traffic.
Most do. Private pools are the norm in this territory, many with heat available for winter and spring dates for an added fee, and the larger homes add spas, putting greens, and outdoor kitchens. Each listing shows its pool details and any heating charge on the property page.
Old Town and South Scottsdale for the Giants at Scottsdale Stadium and the shortest walk to nightlife; North Scottsdale for Salt River Fields; Tempe or Mesa for the Angels, Cubs, and Athletics; Glendale for the Dodgers, White Sox, Brewers, and Reds. Everything is within about 40 minutes of everything else.
Yes. A number of our Scottsdale, Tempe, and Cave Creek homes welcome dogs. Every listing shows its own pet policy and any pet fee on the property page, so check the details for the home you like before booking.
Our largest North Scottsdale estates hold up to 17 guests across six bedrooms, and several Scottsdale and Tempe homes fit 12 to 14. Use the guests filter in the search above, and check each property page for the exact bed count and any occupancy rules.
