The north coast (Bophut, Maenam) is calm and family-friendly. Chaweng and Lamai on the east have the busiest beaches and nightlife. The south and west are quieter, with sunset views.
Most villas arrange airport transfers, and taxis and ride apps cover the ring road. A rental car or driver is useful for hillside villas and day trips around the island.
